I've begun the process of allowing access to pages that are used to run leagues on the site. You'll note that if you are not logged in or do not have access to a league, that the forms will load but certain data may not be displayed ('XXXXXXX' instead) and that the forms do not have buttons or will prompt an error message when clicked.
I've done this so other leagues can see all the abilities of the site. This may allow others to realize the site's abilities and decide to use the site for their leagues. After all, the goal is to make the site popular and used by as many folks as possible.
3/16/2018 - We've released yet another Bowling Resource. We launched the Bowling Ball Information page that will show an image, video, and some specifications about each bowling ball (when information is available). Currently it has over 5700 bowling balls listed within it. I've begun the work of obtaining and input all the information into the site. This is a long process and to be quite honest the ball manufacturers are of no help on this project. They have all basically said to take the images and specs from their site, but have no files available to provide. So it is a manual process to find the information, download the image, upload the image and populate the database with it. So it will take months to get everything available input, but so far about 200 balls have information on them.
This will be used to populate the drop downs for creating your own equipment locker. I've also begun the process of working on the personal stats portion of the website. This will allow users to input their own bowling scores and see all the data. As you might imagine, I'm setting it up so you can put the 'primary ball' with each score. More to come as development continues on that feature.
I hope you all enjoy the new information. Anyone who is willing to help out or provide links can contact me through the Contact Us form.
I know there is snow on the ground, but the road are very well maintained. My normal commute home took no more than 3 minutes more than usual and its a 35 minute drive home for me. Hope to see you all there !!!
A new report has been added to the repertoire of reports available to users. It is a Margin of Victory report that is available for each league/season. It will show you the total number of games played (to date) and some of the variance criteria. It will count ties, games won by 5 or less pins and games won by 10 or less pins. Every wonder how often a team loses because of singles pins passed up on splits in attempts to pick them up, or that single missed spare. Now you can get an idea how costly they are - and you'll be quite surprised !!
